This morning’s understanding while meditating:
The purpose of meditation is to strive to establish absolute clarity in reflecting through one’s unique awareness the universal intelligence, or mind of God.
The purpose of humanity is to allow the universal intelligence to perceive itself in the (nearly) boundless varieties of possibility.
In order to accomplish this sacred task we must be empty; a perfect calm pool of reflective water, on and through which the universal intelligence can experience itself.
The vicissitudes of earthy mortal life are the obstructions or imperfections in the reflective capacity of the mirror; we are distracted by maya and our reflective capacity is disturbed.
Meditation allows us to strive to achieve this perfect clarity which the universal intelligence to experience itself through the unique tone which is manifested in each one of us.
To facilitate that perfect resonance is our purpose.
